Bio
A Professional Ballet Dancer and International Model based in Toronto and New York, Alexa has been able to travel the world with her talent and skills. Discovered at the young age of 11, by the National Ballet School (Toronto) Alexa moved away from home to attend NBS and live in residence for 3 years. Chosen for the lead role as Marie in James Kuldeka's The Nutcracker Alexa performed with The National Ballet of Canada; as one of the youngest dancers at The Hummingbird Center. After 3 successful years dancing with The National Ballet School, Alexa returned back to Winnipeg (her hometown) to attend the Royal Winnipeg Ballet for 4 years. During that time, Alexa performed lead roles at Ballet in the Park, and The Concert Hall. Alexa choreographed a duet called Preference for a showcase called First Steps as well. After completion Alexa moved to New York at the age of 18 with a scholarship, to attend The Joffrey Ballet School. During that time Alexa performed lead roles with the Joffrey Ballet, and was one of the few dancers selected to dance with the Gelsey Kirkland Studio Company. While dancing in New York, Alexa also traveled and had the opportunity perform in Moscow Russia with the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, and The Scoula di Danza
Hamlyn in Florence Italy.
While dancing professionally in New York, Alexa was discovered by several modeling agencies and offered contracts, two including True and NYMMG. Alexa also competed in becoming Maxim Magazine's covergirl and with the publics vote came in second place. Alexa then had the chance to walk her first runway show for Ujena Swim Wear.
Now currently based in Toronto Alexa has walked Toronto Fashion Week for the designer Anisha Kumar, and has opened up several designer shows including Aimon Ali, and Arte De La Mode lingerie.
Still dancing Alexa has performed at The Thompson Hotel several times, and performed at The Hazelton Hotel for the Toronto Film Festival.
Alexa's photos have been featured in galleries around the world including the Swiss Art Expo 2019 in Switzerland, and The Shinning Power Art exhibition in Japan 2020. Alexa is the face of the cosmetic line Mayfa and has modelled for several clothing brands such as ShopSeina, Rebel Athletic, Rockstar Swimwear, Zaful, HoneyBum, and Coquette Lingerie to name a few.
Alexa has been in over 40 Punjabi/ Bollywood music videos artists include: Gurj Sidhu, Rahul Sathu, Money Aujla, and Gagan Kokri to name a few . Keep an eye out as Alexa's photos will be featured in The Leading Global WedLuxe Wedding Magazine June 12th 2020. You can purchase the magazine online, or find a hard copy at your local book store. On September 6th 2020, Alexa's photos will be displayed in Napoli Italy at The Eurostars Hotel Excelsior; and on September 14th Alexa's photos will be displayed in Paris, France at the Champselyseesplaza hotel. A 6 page spread with Alexa's photos recently came out in The March 2021 Spring Issue of Edith Magazine, you can buy the hard copy at your local book store, or online. A international commercial for Destination Toronto is out now featuring Alexa alongside the famous actor Simu Liu. Alexa is the face for BAO laboratory skincare line, Bedstory, and corporate spokesperson for Multi Pro Machines.
